I have always been more of a girly girl – LOVED pretty dresses, my favorite colour pencils ever since I could remember were always baby pink and baby blue, and I’ve never really had a seriously tomboy moment (except for the one time my parents agreed to having the hairstylist cut my hair really, really short…which is another story for another day)…
I’ve never really pondered on how God meant us females to be.
His role for women, His purpose for creating us, His commands on how to direct our lives in the way He meant for us, understanding how a wife can and should help her husband……it blows my mind at how much there is to learn, and yet I relish the moments of truth when revealed, and I can only pray that I’ll be able to continue on this journey, discovering what He wants for me, as His precious daughter.
“Likewise, teach the older women to be reverent in the way they live, not to be slanderers or addicted to much wine, but to teach what is good. Then they can train the younger women to love their husbands and children, to be self-controlled and pure, to be busy at home, to be kind, and to be subject to their husbands, so that no one will malign the Word of God.”
This is one of my favourite:
“Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, before you were born I set you apart; I appointed you as a prophet to all nations.”
