YOU are singing over me… :)

And that’s so assuring to know.

Had a great day at work, but it was very tiring on my heart. The problems of the children, the tension between adults, the misunderstandings that happen so easily…it is reality, and I’m just thankful that I’ve His peace that surpasses all understanding, dwelling in my soul.

He is the Light to the world, to my soul…and on days like this, I rest in knowing that He knows my heart and I can cast all my burdens to Him, for He cares so much for me!

Sometimes, helping others means not intervening too much. To not stand in the way of their learning journey. I can only do so much, but God can do so much more!

One of the best moments today has to be calling my grandma over lunch and chatting with her. She’s so cute. Prayed for my loved ones, and enjoyed my muffins from Cedele too. It was a quiet and sweet lunch.

On another note altogether, I’m going to organize my kitchen area tomorrow! Reckon that I’ve quite a bit of stuff right now, so organizing it a bit will be useful. If you’ve any tips on this, feel free to let me know! 🙂

You Hold My World in Your Hand

Coming back from the long vacation and adjusting to the needs back home has taken a while, but I’m glad I took my time with everything. Went to a funeral wake, caught up with my colleagues’ lives, enjoyed our Staff Retreat, took joy in giving out the little gifts we bought from our trip, and had really good times with our family.

Look at how my dear niece has grown! Haha…

Image

We love her so much!

Bren and I are definitely planning to have kid(s). 2 years of marriage has brought us much growth and love, and we’re looking forward to having our very own little one(s), according to His perfect timing and will.

In the process of waiting, we’re going to enjoy every moment of freedom which we know will not be the same when a kid comes along. There’s so much beauty even in the journey of waiting upon Him!

Today, ended a lovely day of work and headed to get some roses for our home and chanced upon Hershey’s! Brought back memories of our Junior College days, where Bren would secretly place these Cookies & Cream chocolate bars in my locker, usually along with a sweet note. The way to my heart is truly through my stomach. ;P

Well, we’re going to enjoy the chocolate a little later, and perhaps spend the rest of the night counting our blessings…

God’s plan for us is so beautiful, for He IS beautiful.

Day 14: And, it’s goodbye…

“Last day of our hols..had a very sweet walk last night along Concorde n all e streets we didn’t walk by in e last week…n e warm street lights everywhere made everything look so cosy n romantic. No wonder it’s called e City of Lights. Memories of how we started this trip n e places we went, e ppl we met, e laughs we had…everything came flooding back.”

“N as I watched e Eiffel sparkle, I had a few tears streaming down.

Well, it couldn’t have lasted long anyway since Bren n I were abruptly interrupted to be photographers for a couple who were excited at seeing e sparkling Eiffel 😉

Am now munching on e chocolate-orange cookies we bought at e grocery store few nights ago n enjoying e last few hours at Paris. This second trip to Paris has been like e icing on e already yummy cake. We’re just going to relish every single moment.. 🙂

Ahh, Bren had this morning nicely planned out 🙂 Brought me to my fav Angelina for breakfast, then to a walk to our fav Tuileries Park (love soaking in e cold Parisian air there!), n we’re going to grab some Pierre Herme macaroons before we check out! Perfect way to end our lovely trip.”

“This worship song has been ringing in my head e whole morning:

“n I stand, I stand in awe of u…

I stand, I stand, in awe of u…

Holy god, to whom all praise is due,

I stand in awe of u…”

This was in the magazine at our hotel:

Indeed, this whole trip has been such a blessing. Never thought that we’d have the chance to travel to Europe this soon, and being able to have everything experienced together with Bren…it’s something I’ll always treasure.
More than that, I’m extremely thankful for the quiet moments that we could spend with Him, who is so real, so loving, and so amazing.
Thank You, Lord. 🙂

Day 13: The Louvre, Laduree & Richard Lenoir Market

“Yay, we got to e Louvre! We decided to try again, hoping for e queue to be less insane, n we got it! There was hardly any queue when we reached; ppl were buying tickets efficiently n moving into it w no crowd gathering around. So we’d a gd time admiring e sculptures, e histories, e gorgeous jewelry pieces w such meaning behind em, n of cos e Mona Lisa. All in all, what a great visit. Glad we came back!”

“Wow, god’s favor is amazing. Bren n I just walked past e queue area again n it was so long, it was similar to wat we saw last week! Phew, very glad we went earlier.

Anyway, we spent e morning walking around e Richard Lenoir markets. Beautiful place! Lots of gd food, n little trinkets. Nice :)”

Day 12: Goodbye Tuscany, Florence

“Saying goodbye involves 3 cheek kisses over here, I learnt. Well, at least fr what I’ve observed n what e dear owner of Podere dell anselmo, Fabrizio offered after he very kindly sent us to e airport 🙂

Just as i mentioned, we’re definitely going to bring back great memories of this place. Bren esp had a good time playing w their (fat) cats, n said a special goodbye to them on e swing b4 we left. Sweet, sweet place of beautiful nature n even more beautiful people.”

Day 11: Florence, once more

Image

“We r so thankful for e transport system in Singapore. Granted, it has its (many) flaws, but try coming over here to take e public bus n u’ll see why we’re so extra grateful. E timetable here is not just complex but u just don’t seem to always have e latest update.

But the great thing is that we’re now back up e hill, and chilling beside e pool, hoping tt we’ll catch e next bus in 2 hrs’ time. Hopefully tt’s an accurate timing. ;)”

“Today’s my FIL’s bday, so we tried calling him, but he must’ve been busy or sth. So we texted 🙂 it’s nice to have both in-laws’ bdays so close to each other. Makes celebrating a lot easier too, haha.

N this worship song is playing in my head now. It’s one of my favorites, n it’s so nice to relax in nature n ponder upon e meaning of these lyrics. Indeed, God is forever faithful n awesome.”

“Through e day, through e night, I know u’re always by my side…

God u r always here w me, there is no changing God in Thee,

U r e same, yesterday, n today n forevermore…

Here on Yr promises I stand, U hold my future in Yr hand,

My solid rock, Almighty God, I worship u…”

“Our second time to Florence went splendidly well. We were a lot more familiar w e directions to places, where to get our fav free Wi-fi, n we had gelatos 3 times! Very much so cos I was craving for em, n Bren very sweetly obliged. :p”

Day 10: Let’s Snuggle…

“It’s “snuggle in” day. Pouring outside, so we’ll stay in, read some emails, watch “Breaking Bad” episodes, n contemplate about dinner later.

Wanted to get a couple of cashmere items from a factory store nearby this afternoon, but when we reached, there was this sign “Chuisso per lutto”, which we later realised it meant closed for mourning.”

Image

“A bit of a bummer, but not like they can help it…so staying in it is.. 🙂

Aww man, I’ve such a good husband. Bren just told me he’ll go down (e huge hill) to buy dinner back for us. Leaving me here warm n comfy, while he braves e cold & wet weather. Happiness! I’m excited bt wat he’ll be bringing back later ;)”
