Slow down, & look out…

I really love my off-days. It is perfect that it usually happens on a Wednesday, right smack in the middle of the work week.

A day to take longer, deeper breaths…a day to spend more time with my loved ones…a day to reflect and consider changes I need to make…a day to pause and plan for the upcoming days ahead.

For when I stop to look out of the windows, I feel the calm breeze, breathe in the cool air…and His presence – it is so strong and real.

I’m thankful to have had the chance to watch the local coverage on the US elections today, and hearing both speeches at the end of the hours-long coverage was immensely touching and inspirational.

Was also very delighted when Bren called early in the evening to ask what I wanted to eat for dinner. He doesn’t usually head home that early, and so I was surprised and of course, thankful.

And tonight, I’m just happy that I’ve great worship songs playing on my laptop and that I can have an early night’s rest… Thank God for His abundant grace and blessings!

I love that you find joy and thankfulness in God’s small blessings because they add up to great joy and peace. Never lose this mindfulness of Christ in the present moment. “Be joyful always, pray continually, give thanks in all circumstances, for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.”1 Thessalonians 5:16-18
    God bless
