Had a fantastic time with Julia yesterday after work, and many of the issues we talked about resonated so much with each other, it was as if God was using us to minister to what the other was going through at that time, in a way that was perfectly timely.
I was dwelling upon my life and how I’ve been living – just that morning, I prayed for God to reveal more of His will. And He did – through a very touching sharing of how her parents started out when they first entered the pastoral journey, about how her culture in her hometown is very different and has values that more of us can learn from, and about how both of us desire to live life to a fuller extent – a life that’s less self – conscious, more outward – conscious…more intentionally loving.
This dear sister in Christ is a precious gift, and every time we meet, it never fails to refresh me. And His presence, a gift like nothing else…so sweet, so ministering, so amazing.
Have been very blessed. Really blessed. Especially when you’ve a husband that surprises you with a gift card for shopping (!), it makes you forget the tiredness of the day, and reminds you once again how much we need to count our blessings. Taking time to slowly shop at Tangs – they’ve so many great items there! 🙂
One of the things I’ve realized that helps me manage the busy-ness of life is the use of simple yet useful routines. I’ve a night routine to helps me unwind, and a few things that I do often so it takes my mind off questions like ‘what to cook for breakfast?’ and gives me more space to settle things that come up, because there’ll always be food in the house! One of it is our fav breakfast item so far – Maple Syrup cupcakes, nice & warm right out of the oven! Guest-posting it on RantingChef : do check it out! It’s really simple.
Another is the preparation of tea whenever we’re home in the afternoons. Healthy, and a nice relaxing ritual.
What’s yours? 🙂
Okie, got to start packing now for our trip, before we leave for Sydney tonight!
