When I was little…

This is a faded picture of me when I was probably 2 or 3 years old?

I remember enjoying eating a lot {haha}, especially fishballs.

And reading. oh, how I loved to read.

It started with a whole set of Enid Blyton storybooks as Christmas gift from a generous relative, and I was immediately hooked onto a world of adventure, fairy tales, princes and princesses, enchanted forests and what not. I loved to sit quietly in a corner all by myself, and just devour the latest storybook. Going into another world by mere words…oh, so wonderful.

I still cherish books till this day, and still love to read my childhood favorites. 😉

Ahhh, those were the days. How sweet and precious.

I’m paying more attention to the needs of the little girl in me. I know she has always been cherished by God, though at times, it may honestly feel farthest from that truth.

But she is.

Regardless of how I perceive it, she is still deeply loved.

::just came home from a farewell gathering for me by colleagues. It was a simple dinner of pizzas, homemade lychee desserts, and lots of laughing. It was lovely, but deep in my heart, I actually longed for something more…though I could not put a finger as to what it was.

My innermost needs.

We said our goodbyes, but just before I started cleaning up with the rest of them, one of my colleague came right next to me, and said he wanted to share something with me.

He started sharing about how God impressed upon his heart in December to pray for me when he read Elizabeth & Zechariah’s story in the bible, and he wasn’t even aware of my fertility situation then. It made me cry…the first drops of tears for the whole night.

The little girl in me needed to know that people cared. More than that, that God is still remembering her…

That simple sharing alone made my night.

Knowing that our all-knowing Father is orchestrating everything for my good, and He will get all the glory.

His stories are the best. Even better than what I’ve read in storybooks. For He is the best storyteller – the story of His love…💐

I love how God crafts us even before we enter the womb; He designs us with our personalities and all. I too loved reading when I was young. Even at a young age I loved reading my Bible, my first one was the Precious Moments kind. I do not know about your fertility situation {will read more blogs to catch up} but I will be praying for you! God is so good and He wants to bless you my kindred. God bless +

Hi! My first bible was from Precious Moments too! Actually, I bought it before I was even a believer, simply because I loved the images! Then when I finally accepted Christ, the bible was already sitting in my bedroom, ready for me to allow my soul to delve into His Truth. 🙂 love it. God bless you!

my absolute favorite childhood reads were the Enchanted Forest series from Enid Blyton. so wondrous to be brought into another magical world purely through words. 🙂
