Weekend Pics

Bren just got a new camera, and this weekend was all about him practicing on yours truly, haha. I’ve always been a snap and go type of photographer, so it was very new for me to hear him use funny terms like “pancake” for camera stuff. It’s always good to learn new things tho’!

So here are some pics…

Attended his cousin’s wedding dinner last night and wow, it was the largest wedding dinner banquet crowd that I’ve seen.

Lovely couple. 🙂

Spent a large part of our afternoon today playing with little Kaelyn, and she was so amusing! Took her a while to get out of her just-woke-up state, but when she smiles or laughs, it simply melts your heart!

Chinese New Year Festivities + Random Stuff…

Reflecting on this year’s CNY and munching on leftover goodies still waiting for me to devour at home (keropok+kueh bangit, mmm…), I have so much to give thanks for. Not sure exactly why, but this year’s festivities left me yearning for much more; maybe it’s a better posture of my heart this time..

Anyway, here are snippets of the blessed celebration and a few random bits of blessing during that period:

1. Made gluten-free bread for the first time! It was way too much for Bren and I to finish, but I enjoyed trying it out.

An ex-colleague once commented that I seem to have a good work-life balance, and when I gave it more thought, I have to say I quite agree. It wasn’t always like this, but I’ve been working hard at guarding my time, especially time with my loved ones…and I’m really grateful for His goodness and love, for showering me with such blessings everyday that I can only say “Thank You!” in return.

Valentine’s Day

Received this card from Yixin, who took our pre-wedding photos, and it was so nice to hear from her! Indeed, it has been a Valentine celebration beyond my expectations…

Little moments this morning which I cherish included having silly hubby singing “Nothing’s Gonna Change My Love For You” while laughing at a random Youtube video upon waking up + drawing a smiley face on our bathroom’s mirror for me after his bath + buying yummy Wanton Mee breakfast up!

Met him for lunch at SGH to visit his grandma, and it was such a special way to spend part of our Valentine. After all, it’s all about spreading love..

Came back, took a quick nap before preparing for dinner – wagyu beef burger!

The wonderful surprise came at night when he came back with lovely lilies + sushi + my favorite siew mai + ice wine + our favorite magnum ice-creams! Almost made me tear..

We’re thankful, and very very happy!

Day 30: Self-portrait

Lounging around after a great day of work, especially with the children.

It’s so amazing to build that relationship with them and see real improvements in attitude and behavior just after a month!

How time flies. Today’s the last day of this Gratitude Challenge! Very thankful for how it has brought me closer to having a deeper sense of gratitude for everything that He has blessed me with.

Day 26: Transportation

Just came back from a weekend trip to Batam with Bren’s rellies. It has been such a memorable trip because firstly, it’s my first trip with them, and secondly, I threw up several times, haha. Have no idea what caused it…possibly food-poisoning or something, but it was really awful yet nice at the same time, because I was so touched by his family’s love and concern for me.

MIL was also not well this morning, so we cut short our weekend getaway and took the 1st ferry back..

On our way out, she smiled, came close to me and said, “What a trip ya…” I agree, and am very thankful for the love shown so clearly this weekend.

God is good!
